As a professional freelance photojournalist, Ivon is often seen covering events in his home town of Edinburgh and Scotland. A regular contributor on BBC Scotland’s online news pages and the national and international press, he is kept very busy by his commercial clients. His photojournalism work focuses equally on capturing public figures from the worlds of politics and the arts; from cinema, theatre and television, to literature and the peace and justice movement. He has also been commissioned to cover several royal events in recent years, including visits to Scotland by many of the most senior members of the Royal Family.

Besides his photojournalism work, Ivon is kept busy by a varied portfolio of commercial clients. These include Amnesty International, the University of Edinburgh, the National Galleries of Scotland, Edinburgh Zoo, Standard Life Investments, the Royal Bank of Scotland, the Bank of Scotland, Tesco, Radio Forth and YouthLink Scotland. Over recent years, Ivon has added professional quality 360º panoramic photography to his portfolio, creating online virtual tours and appearing on Google Earth.
